Reverence - slowing into sacred
This collection was born in the desert, before red canyon walls drenched gold in the sun. Inspired by wanderings among sandstone cliffs and silty riverbeds, their beauty slowing my usually hurried pace. Sketched on scraps of paper on an endless expanse of dusty gravel roads spinning out from our small van we call home. Then, slowcrafted in the East. In a small mountain cabin. Under the thrum of storming skies. In summer, the season of growth and abundance.
The Portal stud was inspired by a particular sandstone arch in Moab, Utah. For when you stand at the threshold. Letting the wind blow through you. Preparing to leap. Wondering, what and who will you shed? And what, who. of this world will come with you? Souls, tethered by a thread too golden to become anything but ever strengthened, ever brighter, as you leap into the great mystery of flame.
Brass: Each pair of Portal stud earrings is crafted with intention from solid brass, set upon a gold filled post (so gold is the only metal that touches your piercing) and bathed in a patina to reflect the spectrum of brass’ range- from the glowing gold of an August sunset to the black silhouette of moon-cast shadow.
Silver & Gold: Each pair of Portal stud earrings is crafted with intention from sterling silver or 14-karat gold filled metal then given a high polish to reflect the sunlight- or moonlight!

Tips:
The patina will deepen with age. If you wish to restore the gold luster of brass or shine of silver, polish using a high quality polishing cloth safe for use on brass and silver.
