Reverence - slowing into sacred
This collection was born in the desert, before red canyon walls drenched gold in the sun. Inspired by wanderings among sandstone cliffs and silty riverbeds, their beauty slowing my usually hurried pace. Sketched on scraps of paper on an endless expanse of dusty gravel roads spinning out from our small van we call home. Then, slowcrafted in the East. In a small mountain cabin. Under the thrum of storming skies. In Spring, the season of rebirth.
The Escalante necklace was inspired by adventures through Escalante’s slot canyons, following small slips of river through great canyon walls. Each necklace is crafted with intention using Miyuki Japanese glass beads and solid brass findings. They feature Kingman turquoise sourced directly from the mine.
Size:
The Escalante necklace is designed to be choker length, resting comfortably at the base of the neck just above the collarbone. Adjustable length appx. 14 1/2-16 1/2”
Tips:
To maximize the life of turquoise and glass beads, I recommend limiting exposure to water, oils, perfumes, etc.
